  • Conventional LTE availability — Cat 1 bis can be practical in markets where conventional 4G LTE availability is stronger or easier to deploy than LTE-M & NB-IoT.
  • Straightforward 4G connectivity — useful when a project prefers Cat 1 bis connectivity without relying on LPWA-specific operator support.

Which networks does MT710L support?

MT710L uses 4G LTE Cat 1 bis and does not include 2G fallback. MT710L-EU and MT710L-LA provide different regional band sets, so carrier and band compatibility must be confirmed for the countries where the tracker will operate.

What is WiFi positioning used for?

WiFi scanning gives MT710L an additional positioning source when nearby access points are available, complementing GNSS and LBS. WiFi is used for positioning; tracking data is still uploaded through the cellular network.
