Compact Hardware for 4G Deployments
MT710L combines a compact enclosure with Cat 1 bis connectivity for projects where installation space and practical 4G deployment both matter.
Why Cat 1 bis?
Cat 1 bis is a single-antenna LTE category for IoT devices. It uses mainstream 4G infrastructure and can be a practical choice where LTE-M or NB-IoT availability varies by carrier or market.
- Conventional LTE availability — Cat 1 bis can be practical in markets where conventional 4G LTE availability is stronger or easier to deploy than LTE-M & NB-IoT.
- Straightforward 4G connectivity — useful when a project prefers Cat 1 bis connectivity without relying on LPWA-specific operator support.
- Deployment fit — suitable when compact hardware and Cat 1 bis connectivity are both project requirements.
Cat 1 bis is not universally supported by every carrier. Confirm the required regional bands and network availability before deployment.

Battery & Charging
Actual runtime depends on reporting interval, cellular signal, GNSS acquisition, motion profile, and configuration.
Reference only: the datasheet’s once-daily runtime estimate is based on MT710 live-network testing, not independently validated MT710L Cat 1 bis performance.
Multiple Location Sources, Cellular Data Delivery
MT710L combines Cat 1 bis cellular communication with GNSS, WiFi positioning, and LBS to support different operating environments.
- 4G LTE Cat 1 bis
- Cellular data connection with no 2G fallback.
- Multi-GNSS
- GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo positioning.
- WiFi Positioning
- An additional positioning source. WiFi is not used to upload tracking data.
- LBS
- Cellular network information can provide another location reference.
Supported bands and carrier compatibility vary by market. Full band lists are provided in Technical Specifications.
Use MT710L With Your Own Platform
The shared MT710 / MT710L protocol documents TCP, UDP, and SMS communication so system integrators can connect MT710L to a compatible customer server or third-party platform.
- Open TCP, UDP, and SMS protocol documentation
- Customer server and compatible third-party platform integration
- Browser-based Mictrack Config Tool support for MT710L-EU and MT710L-LA
Where MT710L Fits Best
Rental equipment changes customers, locations, and deployment periods — MT710L's 35g enclosure and Cat 1 bis connectivity keep installation and redeployment practical as the fleet grows.

MT710L Questions
What is LTE Cat 1 bis?
LTE Cat 1 bis is a single-antenna 4G LTE category used by IoT devices. It can suit projects built around mainstream 4G coverage, but supported bands and carrier compatibility still need to be checked for each deployment market.
When should I choose MT710L instead of MT710?
Choose MT710 when LTE-M & NB-IoT low-power connectivity with 2G fallback is the priority. Choose MT710L when compact installation and a Cat 1 bis, mainstream 4G deployment approach are the priority. Neither network architecture is universally better; the right choice depends on carrier coverage and project requirements.
Which networks does MT710L support?
MT710L uses 4G LTE Cat 1 bis and does not include 2G fallback. MT710L-EU and MT710L-LA provide different regional band sets, so carrier and band compatibility must be confirmed for the countries where the tracker will operate.
What is WiFi positioning used for?
WiFi scanning gives MT710L an additional positioning source when nearby access points are available, complementing GNSS and LBS. WiFi is used for positioning; tracking data is still uploaded through the cellular network.
Can MT710L connect to my own server?
Yes. MT710L uses the shared MT710 / MT710L open TCP, UDP, and SMS protocol. It can report to a compatible customer server or third-party tracking platform without requiring a Mictrack platform subscription.
Can I order a sample before a volume order?
Yes. Samples are available and the minimum order quantity is one unit, so you can verify network compatibility, positioning behavior, and integration before planning a larger deployment.
What is the current certification status of MT710L?
CE, FCC, and RoHS certification is currently pending. Product documentation and the datasheet are available now; certification status will be updated here once completed.
